Welcome to Votur. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Votur application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated under the name Votur ("Votur", "we", "us", or "our").
The Service is available as native apps for iOS and Android, and on the web at votur.app.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
For users on iOS, these Terms operate alongside Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (the "Apple EULA"). To the extent that the Apple EULA grants you broader rights, those rights apply. Votur, not Apple, is solely responsible for the Service and its content.
The Service is intended for users who are at least thirteen (13) years old, and who meet any higher minimum age required where they live. If you are below the age of digital consent in your country — for example, sixteen (16) in the Netherlands and certain other countries in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the UK — you may use Votur only with the consent and involvement of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for your use of the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet the minimum age that applies to you and, where required, that a parent or guardian has agreed to these Terms on your behalf. If we become aware that a user does not meet these requirements, we may suspend or delete the account and associated data.
To use the Service, you must meet the minimum age described in Section 1 — at least thirteen (13) years old, or the higher minimum age required where you live (such as sixteen (16) in the Netherlands). Where you are below the age of digital consent in your country, a parent or guardian must consent to and supervise your use of the Service.
Votur signs you in anonymously by default. You may also choose to sign in with an email link, Sign in with Google, or Sign in with Apple, where offered. We do not receive your full Google or Apple account — only the basic identity information you authorize during sign-in. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access if we reasonably believe a user does not meet the eligibility requirements or has materially breached these Terms.
Votur is a visual decision app. It lets you:
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time.
When you create polls or upload images ("User Content"), you represent and warrant that:
You retain the rights you have in your User Content. By submitting it, you grant Votur a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to host, store, process, reproduce, and display it — including rendering share-cards from it — solely to operate the Service for you and to show your poll to people you share it with. This license terminates when you delete the content or your account.
We do not use your User Content to train artificial intelligence models, and we do not sell it.
Votur is designed to stay warm and constructive. There are no comments, no direct messages, no reply threads, and no downvotes — the only negative path is a private report to our moderation team.
You can report a poll or another user from the overflow menu next to the content. For urgent or account-level issues — impersonation, repeated abuse — email support@votur.app. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team, and content that breaks these Terms may be hidden or removed.
When we remove content or restrict an account, we notify the user and state the reason. Enforcement escalates with severity: a warning for first-time or low-severity issues, a temporary restriction for repeated issues, and permanent termination for severe or repeated breaches. We may skip earlier steps for content involving minors, illegal material, or coordinated abuse.
You may appeal any moderation decision by emailing support@votur.app with a brief description. We aim to re-review and respond within 14 days, free of charge. If the internal appeal does not resolve the dispute, users in the European Union may refer the matter to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body under Article 21 of the EU Digital Services Act, or to the competent court (see Section 13).
You can block another user. Blocking is mutual: a blocked user is hidden from you and you from them.
You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose and in compliance with these Terms and applicable law. The following are prohibited:
We reserve the right to remove content and to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Sharing is voluntary. A poll is not discoverable unless you make it public, but anyone you send a share link to can open and vote on it. By sharing, you acknowledge that:
You remain solely responsible for the content you share and must ensure you have all necessary rights and permissions, including the consent of any identifiable person in a photo. You can delete a poll at any time.
Where offered, the Service may include paid features (such as a "Pro" subscription) sold through in-app purchases on the Apple App Store or Google Play ("IAP"). Subscriptions renew unless cancelled through your app store account. All IAP transactions are processed by Apple or Google directly under their respective terms; Votur does not see your full payment details. Refund requests must be directed to Apple or Google as the payment processor, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
All intellectual property rights in the Service — including its software, design, and branding — remain with Votur or its licensors. You retain the rights you have in your User Content, subject to the license in Section 4. You may not sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service itself, nor use it to build a competing product.
You can delete your polls at any time in the app, and you may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing support@votur.app. Deletion removes your polls, photos, votes, and profile data from our servers. Report and block records may be retained in redacted form as part of our safety audit trail. If you used Sign in with Google or Apple, deleting your Votur account does not affect your Google or Apple account.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access and may modify or discontinue features at any time. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Votur disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Votur shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Votur in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) EUR 50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also have rights under the laws of your country of residence that are not affected by this clause. Disputes shall be brought before the competent courts of the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.
Votur may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated within the Service before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
If you have any questions about these Terms, you may contact us at support@votur.app.
