About Votur

Why Votur exists

It's easy to have opinions. Choosing? That's the hard part. Which haircut, which sofa, which name for the dog — everyone has moments where they just want to ask the people around them, "which one?"

People already do this constantly: two photos in a group chat, a screenshot poll, a "help me decide" story. Votur turns that everyday moment into one simple link. You make a poll (we call it a "Duo"), send it anywhere, and everyone can vote in one tap — no app, no account, no fuss. When you want a bigger answer, you can put your poll in the public Discover feed and let the world weigh in.

What we believe

• Kind by design. There are no comments, no direct messages, no downvotes, and no reply threads on Votur — structurally. The only thing anyone can do with your question is answer it. All the fun, none of the mean.
• Your votes are yours. Results are only ever counts and percentages — which option any individual picked is never shown to anyone, not even the poll's creator.
• Privacy first. Our servers run in the EU. We show no banner ads, never sell personal data, never track you across other apps, and never use your content to train AI models. The details are in our Privacy Policy — written to be read.
• Honest answers. No engagement tricks, no rage bait. In the Discover feed you vote first and see the results after — the way an honest question deserves.

Who we are

Votur is built and run by its two founders in the Netherlands — a small, hands-on team that designs the cards, answers the support email, and reviews the moderation queue personally. (A Dutch legal entity is on the way; for now, "we" really means the two of us.)

Where we are

The Votur apps for iPhone and Android are in testing and heading for the app stores. Voting through a shared link already works for everyone, right in the browser. Want to know the moment we launch? Join the launch list on our homepage — one email, then we're done.
