The Swiss eat the most chocolate per capita — around 9–11 kg per person per year. They have a long tradition of high-quality chocolate making (Lindt, Toblerone, etc.). The United States consumes a huge total volume because of its population size, but per person the Swiss (and sometimes Austrians or Germans) are clearly on top.
