Ful medames, often simply called "ful" in Sudan, is a beloved national dish made from slow-cooked fava beans seasoned with sesame oil, garlic, and cumin, often topped with boiled eggs or feta cheese. In Khartoum, eating ful is a highly social affair, usually served in large communal metal bowls with fresh flatbread. Photo: Abdullah Geelah, Wikimedia Commons, CC BY-SA 3.0.
