The Choijin Lama Temple was constructed between 1904 and 1908 for Luvsanhaidav, the state oracle and younger brother of the Bogd Khan. It escaped destruction in the 1930s by being converted into a museum. Today, it stands as a stunning example of traditional architecture surrounded by modern skyscrapers.
