Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump is an archaeological site where Plains Indigenous peoples hunted bison by driving them off a 10-meter-high cliff. Used for over 5,000 years, the site features a deeply informative cliff-side museum. The name comes from a young Blackfoot brave who wanted to watch the bison fall from below, but was crushed.
