An elephant's trunk contains absolutely no bones or cartilage. Instead, it is made of up to 150,000 individual muscle units, giving it incredible strength and precision. This amazing organ is sensitive enough to pick up a single blade of grass, yet strong enough to rip branches off trees. It also serves as a snorkel when they swim in deep water.
