Correct answer: Pasteur Institute

Albert Calmette and Camille Guérin developed the Bacille Calmette-Guérin (BCG) vaccine at the Pasteur Institute in Lille, France. They spent over a decade, from 1908 to 1919, repeatedly subculturing a strain of bovine tuberculosis to weaken it. First used in humans in 1921, BCG remains one of the most widely administered vaccines in history, particularly in countries with high TB rates. Photo: Y tambe, Wikimedia Commons, CC BY-SA 3.0.
