Siwa Oasis is located in the Libyan Desert, about 50 kilometers east of the Libyan border. In 331 BC, Alexander the Great made a legendary trek here to consult the Oracle of Ammon, who confirmed him as both a divine figure and the rightful pharaoh of Egypt.
